Great Writer Chingiz Aytmatov's Bust Erected in Tashkent Uzbekistan

Tashkent-13 Dec 2018: A bust of Chingiz Aytmatov was erected on the territory of the secondary school No.33 in Parkent district of Tashkent region.

The event was attended by responsible persons of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan Writers Unions, the Republican Kyrgyz National Cultural Center, the khokimiyat of Tashkent region, writers, poets, literary scholars, youth, and representatives of the general public.

UZBEKISTAN TO COMPLETE 4 HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANTS IN 5 YEARS

Tashkent -13 Dec 2018: Uzbekistan plans ,in next five years ,to complete the construction of four hydroelectric power plants (HPPs) with a capacity of more than 30 MW, as well as 16 new small ones, and also modernize 21 existing stations

These data are cited in the draft concept of development of the hydropower industry until 2024. The total cost of all implemented projects will exceed $ 2.6 billion, of which about $ 600 million are attracted loans.

Uzbekistan seeks Trilateral Trade Commission and JVs in Pakistan

Rawalpindi: The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Furqat Sidikov has said that his country desired Trilateral Trade Commission comprising Pakistan, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan to promote trade, logistic and investment. Uzbekistan has extended its railway line up to Mazar Sharif in Afghanistan and wanted to extend it up to Turkham border in order to facilitate trade with Pakistan.

Uzbekistan simplifies visa procedure for Pakistani businessmen

Islamabad(Staff Reporter)In a bid to facilitate Pakistani business community, the Uzbekistan embassy has simplified the visa procedure and not it will give visa to the entrepreneurs within one day after submission of an online request, diplomats said.

Uzbekistan is manufacturing high-quality home appliances, automotive, heavy-duty trucks, earthmoving machinery and agricultural equipment which can be exported to Pakistan, they said.
