BRITISH COUNCIL LAUNCHES ‘CREATIVE CITIES IN PAKISTAN’ EXHIBITION IN LONDON

The British Council launched an exhibition called ‘Creative Cities in Pakistan’, which focuses on five cities with thriving creative communities that are rich in arts and crafts, as well as history and culture. Taking place at the British Council Spring Garden office, the exhibition will run between 4 April to 26 May 2017.

New Food Fortification Programme to help tackle malnutrition in Pakistan

Islamabad-08 Sep 2016-A new Food Fortification Programme in Pakistan aims to reduce by a third iron deficiency anaemia, and by a quarter vitamin A deficiency in women and children by increasing the micronutrient content of flour and edible oil or ghee through fortification. The programme was launched today in Islamabad by Joanna Reid, the head of DFID Pakistan. The event was also attended by State Minister Health Saira Afzal Tarar.

The British High Commissioner-Designate to Pakistan, Thomas Drew CMG, spoke to Pakistani media in the UK before leaving for Islamabad at the end of this week.

Islamabad (Diplomatic Reporter)The British High Commissioner to Pakistan His Excellency Mr Philip Barton, CMG, OBE has left Islamabad at the end of his assignment on the 11 February.  His replacement, Mr Thomas Drew CMG, will start work as British High Commissioner-Designate in Pakistan on 22 February.

Islamabad - The British High Commissioner Mr. Philip Barton CMG OBE, introduced Mr Jon Ryan as the New Head of Consular Services in Pakistan and Afghanistan at a reception he hosted at his Residence in Islamabad.
