Large-scale Pakistani participation in Texworld exhibition Istanbul

Istanbul -Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkey Mr. Muhammad Haroon Shaukat while visiting Pakistani stalls at three days Texworld exhibition at Istanbul said Pakistani textile products are of highest quality y and by showcasing state of the art textile products, Pakistani exports could be further boosted. He said Textile industry is considered as the backbone of Pakistan's economy and assured that the Embassy of Pakistan will provide every possible help to Pakistani textile exporters to market their products in Turkey and the region.

PAKISTAN NAVY SHIP TO PARTICIPATE IN NAVAL EXERCISE IN TURKEY

ANKARA -Pakistan Navy Ship, PNS ALAMGIR (FFG 260) with an embarked Z9 EC Helicopter onboard, will be visiting Aksaz Naval Base Marmaris and Antalya harbour during 6 to 15 November 2014. It will participate in joint Turkish Navy Exercise “Mavi Balina-14”. Pakistan Navy P3C-Orion aircraft will also participate in the exercise from Dalaman airbase.

 

TURKEY - PAKISTAN HIGH LEVEL MILITARY DIALOGUE

ISLAMABAD: A 15-member high level Turkish defence delegation headed by Deputy Chief of Turkish General Staff General Yasar Guler attended the first round of the 10th meeting of Pak-Turkey High Level Military Dialogue Group (HLMDG) on Tuesday. Defence Secretary Lt Gen (r) Muhammad Alam Khattak headed the delegation from Pakistan’s side, said a press release. General Yasar Guler, in a meeting with the defence secretary, reiterated that the two countries enjoyed brotherly ties. “The relationship between the two countries is exemplary and deep rooted,” he added.

FAREWELL TO PAKISTANI STUDENTS LEAVING FOR TURKISH UNIVERSITIES

Islamabad - The Turkish Embassy in Islamabad organized a farewell ceremony for the students who were awarded scholarships to study in Turkey, under the Turkiye Scholarships programme, for 2014 – 2015 academic year. 
 

TURKEY UPGRADES 4 F-16 OF PAKISTAN AIR FORCE

Ankara : Successful accomplishment of Mid-Life Upgrade and Falcon STAR configuration for PAF F16s culminated with a graceful closing ceremony that took place at Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) – Ankara, Turkey. Air Marshal Sohail Aman, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Operations), as Chief Guest of the ceremony represented senior leadership of Pakistan Air Force.

Sadik Babur stated this during his visit to National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad, where he met Rector NUML Maj Gen (R) Masood Hasan, Director General (DG) Brig Azam Jamal to discuss different issues of mutual interest.

Pakistan‚ Turkey to further intensify strategic partnership

Islamabad (Staff Reporter) The first round of Annual Bilateral Political Consultations between Pakistan and Turkey within the framework of the High Level Strategic Cooperation Council was held in Islamabad Thursday.Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu of Turkey led their delegations, a Foreign Ministry statement said Thursday evening.According to the statement, the discussions encompassed a whole range of bilateral‚ regional and international issues.
