PAK - TAJIK JOUNT COMMUNIQUE ON THE OUTCOME OF LEADERS MEETING

Dushanbe -DNA + Monitoring - The Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, His Excellency Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, accompanied by a high-level delegation, visited the Republic of Tajikistan on 09-10 June, 2015 at the invitation of the Republic of Tajikistan to participate inthe High Level International Conference on the Implementation of the International Decade for Action “Water for life” 2005-2015.

Pakistan, Tajikistan agree to enhance communication links

DUSHANBE, 09 JUNE ( DNA + Monitoring Desk ) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says Pakistan has strong desire to further deepen and broaden bilateral relations with Tajikistan an integral part of his vision to enhance engagement with Central Asia. He said this at the Joint Press conference with Tajik President in Dushanbe Tuesday.

The Prime Minister said Tajikistan is our closest neighbor in Central Asia. Similarly, Pakistan offers the shortest possible route to the sea to countries in the region through its ports.

TAJIKISTAN PAKISTAN AGREE ON TRADE TARGET US $ 500 MILLION

Islamabad - Bilateral consultations between Pakistan and Tajikistan were held on 04 May at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad. Mr. Nizomiddin Zohidi Shamsiddinzoda, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Sartaj Aziz, Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs. Delegation level talks were held with Mr. Amjad Hussain B. Sial, Special Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ambassador of Tajikistan was also present during the meeting.

PESHAWER ATTACK, SHAMEFUL PHENOMENON OF THE CENTURY - TAJIK PRESIDENT

Dushanbe - Tajikistan President Imomali Rahmon has conveyed his condolence to the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan in a statement issued here. The statement says that " With horror, anger and pain learned about the attack by armed group of Taliban on the school in Peshawar, which resulted in the deaths of more than hundred children and teachers, seriously injured a dozen Pakistani citizens."

CASA-1000 INKED IN ISTANBUL - PROJECT WILL BE COMPLETED BY 2018

Istanbul - The hydel energy agreement between Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan was signed here Wednesday. The project, known as the Central Asia South Asia Electricity Transmission and Trade Project (CASA-1000), will help export 1000 MW of clean energy to Pakistan at a price of 9.35 cents including all charges.

TAJIK F.M CALLS ON PM, PRESIDENT - CASA -1000 AND T.A.P.I GAS PIPELINE DISCUSSED

Islamabad - Tajik Foreign Minister Aslov Sirodjidin Muhridinovich who is on a state visit to Pakistan called on Prime Minister Nawaz and President Mamnoon Hussain today. The two sides discussed and underscored the need for enhanced connectivity between the two countries in diverse sectors. Prime Minister said that Pakistan greatly values it friendship with Tajikistan and is keen to further strengthen the existing relationship.

Book “the Tajik golden heritage” launched

Islamabad (Staff Reporter+DNA)The book titled ‘the Tajik golden heritage’ was launched here on Wednesday. The book is written by Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Hamrokhon Zarifi . Ambassador of Tajikistan Sherali S. Jononov formally launched the book. In his welcome speech the Ambassador of Tajikistan said, the main idea of editing and publishing this book was to provide more comprehensive information about elements and diversity of arts and crafts of the Tajik nation.

Tajikistan is hosting High Level International Conference on water cooperation, in Dushanbe on 20-21 August, 2013

ISLAMABAD- 17 JAN 2013; Tazeen Akhtar- Ambassador of Tajikistan H.E. Zubaydullo Zubaydov has said that Pakistan is second home for him and he will never forget the love and cooperation he got here during his tenure. H.E was talking to pakistanintheworld.com in a farewell reception held in his honor by the embassy staff this evening.

A large number of diplomats, ambassadors, notables from different walks of life and senior journalists and media men attended the reception to express their feelings for Zubaydullo Zubaydov .
