Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan Make Alliance

Moscow - Russia has joined four ex-Soviet nations in creating a new alliance aimed at boosting economic and trade ties among the member states. Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan have joined to form the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), which is schedule to come to existence on January 1.

RUSSIA - PAKISTAN SIGN AGREEMENT FOR DEFENCE COOPERATION

Islamabad - Pakistan and Russia have signed agreement for defence cooperation. Prime Minister Nawaz says Russian companies can take advantage of investment opportunities in infrastructure and energy sector.Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said Pakistan wants to promote multi-dimensional relations with Russia including defence.

Moscow, May 21, 2014 Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has stressed upon the need of further boosting the ties between Pakistan and Russia in all fields including trade, business, energy, metallurgy, manufacturing, etc. He said this, here today, in a meeting with Ms. Valentina Matvienko, the Chairperson of Federation Council of Russian Federation.

Pakistan's first CUBESAT satellite launched from Russia

Islamabad (Staff Reporter) Pakistan's first CUBESAT satellite‚ has been launched on board Dnepr launch vehicle from Yasny launch base in Russia.
This CUBESAT satellite will open up a wide vista of future experiments that can be carried on cubesats in the domain of imaging‚ microgravity‚ biology‚ nano technology‚ space dynamics‚ chemistry‚ space physics and various other fields.

Institute of Space Technology has achieved this success in a short span of 10 years.

RUSSIAN ENERGY COMPANIES INTERESTED IN PAKISTAN

Moscow (Diplomatic Desk) Visiting Minister of State for Water and Power, Abid Sher Ali met with the representatives of Russian state run energy companies, Rostechnologies (umbrella organization for Russian state run technology companies), Prominvest, Technopromexport and Inter-Rao UES and discussed in detail with them, the prospects of their participation in development of energy sector in Pakistan. The ambassador of Pakistan to Russia Alamgir Babar accompanied the minister in these meetings.

Pakistan, Russia to continue high level contacts

ISLAMABAD (Staff Reporter+DNA) Pakistan and the Russian Federation held their first ever consultations at the level of Foreign Secretaries in Moscow, said a Foreign Office communiqué issued on Friday. Both sides resolved to continue high level contacts even in the coming days.Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani led the Pakistani side while the Russian side was led by First Deputy Minister Vladimir Gennadievich Titov of the Russian Foreign Office.

Russian Military delegation on visit to Pakistan

Islamabad ( Staff Reporter ) A delegation of Russian Federation Wednesday visited Pakistan Ordinance Factories (POF), Wah Cantt and evinced keen interest in the manufacturing of arms and ammunition and lauded the quality of the products.

The delegation headed by C-In-C of the Ground Forces of the Russian Federation Col Gen Vladimir V Chirkin visited products display lounges and witnessed manufacturing process of arms and ammunition, says a press release.
