HEROIN IN PIA PLANES - ANF CLAIMS TO UNEARTH "HIGHLY ORGANISED TRAFFICKERS"

Islamabad (Staff Reporter) In the last three months, four major cases of drug trafficking have been discovered in PIA Planes. In 1st case, on 3 April 2017, 15 Kg Heroin was found hidden in PIA Boeing 777 at Karachi. In 2nd case, on 15 May 2017 reportedly 11 Kg Heroin was recovered at Heathrow Airport.

Militants Safe Havens inside Afghanistan: Ambassador Lodhi tells UN

New York;June 22,2017-Pakistan told the 15 member UN Security Council that Taliban “safe havens” are inside Afghanistan not outside, given that large areas of that country are now under the Taliban’s control.
 
Speaking in the debate on Afghanistan, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UN, Dr. Maleeha Lodhi said that the resilience of the insurgency in Afghanistan cannot be explained away by convenient references to external "safe havens" or “support centers”.

Islamabad-Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will participate in the 17th Meeting of the Heads of State Council (HoSC) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Astana, Kazakhstan, on 8-9 June 2017 The HoSC is the highest decision-making body of SCO which meets annually.
