SERENA PARK: REVIVING LOST SPACES

Islamabad(Staff Reporter)Sheikh Ansar Aziz, Mayor of Islamabad & Aziz Boolani, CEO Serena Hotels joined hands in the inauguration of the 8 acre Park, adjacent to the Hotel, in a tree plantation ceremony. With various diplomats and dignitaries in attendance, the ceremony opened the lush green space to the public.

Growing India-Belarus Cooperation

Mahwish Hafeez -The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko arrived in India on a two-day visit from September 11-12, 2017.  The invitation for this visit was extended by the President of India to the President of Belarus. This was the third visit to India by any Belarusian head of state. The earlier two visits took place in September 1997 and April 2007.

Islamabad-Foreign missions of Embassy of China, European Union, and Palestine and delegates from UNIDO and UNDP and CIIT, Pakistan, endorsed the importance of South-South Cooperation for exchange of resources, technology, as well as knowledge between the developing countries of the global south at a forum conducted to celebrate United Nations Day for South-South Cooperation.

PAKISTAN SUMMONS AMBASSADOR OF MYANMAR ON ROKINGYA MUSLIMS ISSUE

Win Myint, was called to the Foreign Office today by Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua to convey a strong protest of the Government and people of Pakistan at the ongoing violence against the Rohingya Muslims in the Rakhine state in Myanmar. 
 

6.7 Million drug addicts in Pakistan- Minister calls upon Gov for funds-World community for support

Islamabad ( Staff Reporter) Lt. Gen ® Salahuddin Tirmizi, Federal Minister for Narcotics Control visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and said that business community should cooperate in strengthening the Rehabilitation Centers for early rehabilitation of drugs addicts. He said there were over 6.7 million drugs addicts in Pakistan and narcotics control law was being reviewed to cope with this problem more effectively.
