PAKISTAN KYRGYZSTAN WILL TRANSFORM TIES INTO STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

BISHKEK - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan must ensure that special bilateral ties were transformed into a strategic partnership encompassing all areas of bilateral relations.

In a meeting with Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambaev here, Nawaz said relations between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan continued to move from strength-to-strength. He said Pakistan was eager to see a prosperous Central Asia with all countries connected by rail, road and air links.

PAK-KYRGYZ SCOPE OF EXPANDING RELATIONS DISCUSSED

New York - Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sartaj Aziz held a meeting with Foreign Minister of Kyrgyz, Mr. Erlan Abdyldaev here today.

During the meeting both Ministers agreed that there was a lot of scope in expanding commercial and economic relations between the two countries. They discussed measures that needs to be taken to realize this potential, including early holding of a Joint Economic Commission meeting and increasing business to business contacts. CASA 1000 was also discussed.
