ISLAMABAD, NOV 22 (DNA) -This year is a special year for us as Pakistan and Japan are celebrating 60 years of their diplomatic relations, said Noor Muhammad Jadmani, Ambassador of Pakistan here Thursday, says a press release received here today from Tokyo.

He was speaking at a ceremony held at Pakistan Embassy in honour of Antonio Inoki a renowned wrestler of Japan who is going on a good will visit to Pakistan in connection with 60 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Japan.

ISLAMABAD, SEPT 19 (DNA): To promote creativity of the talented young students of Pakistan, the Embassy of Japan in collaboration with the Pakistan National Council of the Arts and the Pakistan-Japan Cultural Association, Islamabad has organized an Art and Speech Competition about Japan on .The Embassy of Japan in Pakistan has held this event in various cities of Pakistan since 1995, which amounts to seventeen years. Different schools in Islamabad and Rawalpindi participated in the Art and Speech Competition about Japan.

67th anniversary of the world's first atomic bomb attack on Hiroshima

TOKYO-06-AUG- - Japan marked the 67th anniversary of the world's first atomic bomb attack with a ceremony Monday that was attended by a grandson of Harry Truman, the U.S. president who ordered the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
About 50,000 people gathered in Hiroshima's peace park near the epicenter of the 1945 blast that destroyed most of the city and killed as many as 140,000 people. A second atomic bombing Aug. 9 that year in Nagasaki killed tens of thousands more and prompted Japan to surrender to the World War II Allies.
