Ambassador Takashi Kurai and his wife, Rieko Kurai hosted reception to mark the 84th birthday of his majesty Emperor Akihito, the 125thEmperor of Japan.

Japan and UNDP sign agreement to help strengthen Pakistan’s electoral processes

Islamabad, 22 November 2017 – His Excellency, the Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, Takashi Kurai, and the Country Director of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Pakistan,Ignacio Artaza, today signed an agreement to provide US$ 5.9 million over three years (2017–2020) to support the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), and to further strengthenits capacity to hold elections.

Islamabad: 22 August 2017-HE Mr Takashi Kurai, Ambassador of Japan called on Federal Minister for Defence, Engr. Khurram Dastgir Khan at Ministry of Defence, today. He felicitated the honorable Minister for assuming new office and highlighted that we live in a different security environment therefore we need to enhance the existing level of interaction in order to better understand each other’s perspective. Japan and UNODC stands committed to build the operational capacity of Anti Narcotics Force

Japan Provides Assistance worth US$ 290,148 to Four Pakistani NGOs for Social Development

Islamabad: 29th March 2017- The Government of Japan has extended financial support totalling US $ 290,148 (approx. Rs. 29,671,615) to four Pakistani non-governmental organizations for the implementation of social development projects in disadvantaged communities of the country.

Japan provides assistance worth US$ 83,230 for health facilities to the disadvantaged communities

Islamabad-The Government of Japan has extended a grant of US $ 83,230 to Al Mustafa Trust for installing new medical equipment at its medical center in Chaklala, Rawalpindi to better serve the underprivileged communities in surrounding areas.
