Pakistan and Italy sign strategic engagement plan

ROME, FEB 01 (Diplomatic Reporter+DNA) -Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar and Italian Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi di Sant' Agata signed a Strategic Engagement Plan on Friday in Rome, Italy to further cement and expand the multifarious ties between the two countries.

Foreign Minister Khar visited Italy on the invitation of her Italian counterpart. The agreement which was concluded following consultations between the two Foreign Ministers represents an important landmark in Pakistan-Italy bilateral relationship.

Pakistan seeks Italy’s support for GSP Plus

ISLAMABAD, JAN 29 (Staff Reporter+ DNA) -Ambassador of Italy to Pakistan, Mr. Adriano Chiodi Cianfarani called on Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar Tuesday to discuss Pakistan-Italy bilateral relations and the forthcoming visit of the Foreign Minister to Italy for holding bilateral consultations with the Italian Minister for Foreign Affairs Giulio Terzi di Sant’Agata on 1st February 2013.

Major gas field discovered in Pakistan- Claims Italian Company

ROME: Italian energy major ENI said on Wednesday it had discovered a major reserve of between 300 billion and 400 billion cubic feet of gas some 350 kilometres north of Karachi in Pakistan.The discovery was made in the Khirtar Fold Belt region close to the ENI-operated Bhit gas processing facility, the company said in a statement.

Pakistan values its ties with Italy: Minister for Information

 ISLAMABAD, Jan 31 - Federal Minister Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan Tuesday said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Italy. She was talking to Ambassador of Italy to Pakistan Vincenzo Prati who called on her and discussed matters of mutual interests and bilateral ties particularly cooperation of media between the two countries. The minister said that Pakistan wanted to enhance its relations in the areas beneficial for both the countries.
