Islamabad Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani, Secretary Supreme National Security Council of Iran called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at PM House today.Matters of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting.

The two sides expressed grief and sorrow with each other over the tragic incidence of Mina in which citizens of both countries passed away.

Iran condoles with Pakistan over terrorist attack

Tehran, Dec 17, IRNA - President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday condoled with the Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, government and nation over the loss of lives of several citizens in a terrorist attack.

In his message, President Rouhani also sympathized with the families of victims and voiced Iran's readiness to cooperate with Pakistan to tackle terrorism.

According to reports, the death toll from a militant attack on an army-run school in Pakistan’s northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has risen to around 130 including 126 children.


Islamabad ( Special Report+DNA ) The Khyber Pakthunkhwa province and Iran Tuesday agreed to enhance cooperation in different sectors including education, health and tourism and exchange of delegations for benefits of people of both countries.

Both sides agreed during a meeting between Khyber Pakthtunkhwa government spokesman and Health Minister Shaukat Ali Yousfzai, and Counsel General of Iran at Peshawar, Hassan Darwaish Wand, in Peshawar the provincial capital.

Pak-Iran mega gas pipeline project kicked off

CHABAHAR (Iran), March 11 (APP): Pakistan and Iran formally kicked off the long-awaited $ 7.5 billion gas pipeline project aimed at addressing the energy crisis in Pakistan.President Asif Ali Zardari and his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinehjadjointly inaugurated the final construction phase at a ceremony held in the Iranian city of Chabahar near Pak-Iran border. The 785-kilometre long pipeline on Pakistan’s side - from Iran’s border to Nawabshah- will help Pakistan overcome its energy shortage and spur economic growth.

President Zardari for early completion of Pak, Iran projects

ISLAMABAD, JAN 30 (Staff Reporter+ DNA) -President Asif Ali Zardari Wednesdy called for early finalization and implementation of Pak-Iran projects especially in the energy sector, transportation & connectivity and trade and commercial activities in order to promote greater bilateral cooperation on one hand and to bolster trade and economic ties at regional as well as bilateral level.

This he said during his meeting with Iranian delegation headed by Mr. Ali Akbar Velayati, Senior Adviser to the Supreme Leader of Iran on International Affairs here at Aiwan-e-Sadr today.
