Iran ready to supply up to 3000MW electricity to Pakistan

Islamabad (Staff Reporter) H.E. Mr. Mehdi Honardoost, Ambassador of Iran said that if Pakistan sign agreement, Iran was ready to supply 1000-3000MW electricity to Pakistan. He said Iran's gas pipeline (IP) project could address energy issues of Pakistan and bring many benefits to its economy by providing cheap power supply. He said Iran has spent millions of dollars to bring gas pipeline up to the border of Pakistan, but there was no progress on Pakistan's side.

Hostile statements by Trump and Ground realities-By Mehdi Honardoost

Mehdi Honardoost, Ambassador of  Iran to Pakistan- Donald Trump, President of the United States of America during his hostile speech on October 14, 2017 without mentioning a number of verifications by IAEA regarding steps taken by Iran to implement the content of JCPOA (joint comprehensive plan of action) claimed that Iran had not adhered to JCPOA. Despite his previous claims, he once again did not announce his exact strategy about regional policies and JCPOA, except requesting congress to impose more sanctions against Iran and IRGC.

Iranian Presidential Candidates: The Final Six

Fatima Raza- The Guardian Council in Iran cleared six candidates for the presidential elections 2017 from the 1,361 candidates that registered themselves for the presidential race. According to the Iranian constitution, the Council reserves the right to discretion regarding the reasons for cancelling or approving the bids of different candidates. By far, the most talked about disqualification was that of the headstrong former President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who registered against the advice of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamanei.

PAK IRAN TASK FORCE FOR SECURITY MATTERS AND BORDER MANAGEMENT -PREPARATION FOR FTA AGREED

Islamabad (Staff Reporter)As a way forward to further cement their relations, Pakistan and Iran today decided to constitute a high level task force under the supervision of the Interior Ministers of the two countries for identification of mutual areas of concerns and to recommend measures for effective redressal of those issues besides further strengthening the security cooperation between the two countries.

Islamabad (Staff Reporter) Pakistan and Iran  agreed to further bolster their bilateral relations in diverse areas of trade, economy and energy, besides deciding to open two additional crossing points along their border to encourage and facilitate trade and people-to-people contacts.
