DEPORTEES ISSUE - GERMAN AMBASSADOR CALLS ON INTERIOR MINISTER - TWO COUNTRIES CAN EXPLORE A SEPARATE PROTOCOL - INA LEPEL

Islamabad-Interior Minister has said that he would soon invite all European Ambassadors in Pakistan to deliberate on strengthening Pak-EU cooperation especially in the area of security and in dealing with the issues of mutual concern.This he said while talking to German Ambassador Ina Lepel who called on him at Punjab House today.

Pak-German bilateral relations, mutual cooperation, Pak-EU Re-admission Agreement, new policy for INGOs was discussed during the meeting besides regional situation.  

HEC Sends Off 73 Scholars to Germany for PhD Studies

Islamabad-The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan organized on Wednesday a send-off ceremony in honour of 73 HEC scholars proceeding to Germany for doctoral studies.

Ms. Ina Lepel, Ambassador of Germany, was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman HEC, and Dr. Barth Manzoori, Section Head of DAAD, the German Academic Exchange Service, were also present.

PAK-GERMAN DIALOGUE ON DEV COOP - 11 BILLION PKR COMMITTED FOR 2015-16

Berlin - German Deputy Development Minister, Thomas Silberhorn, and Secretary Economic Affairs Division, Muhammed Saleem Sethi, successfully concluded the biannual GER-PAK government negotiations on development cooperation yesterday with the signing of11Bn. PKR (94 Mio. EUR) funding for 2015-2016.

3 October 1990 is the most important date in recent German history. On that day Germany was reunified after more than four decades of internal division. The Basic Law entered into force for the new Länder; the GDR became part of the Federal Republic of Germany.
