France strongly condemns the attack on Pakistani peacekeepers in DR Congo

ISLAMABAD; May 15- 2012-“France strongly condemns the attack which wounded seven Pakistani peacekeepers of the UN Stabilisation Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) yesterday in South-Kivu. France extends its solidarity to Pakistan and the families of the peacekeepers.
France calls for the authorities of the Democratic Republic of Congo to ensure those responsible of this attack will be brought before justice.

Paris; Pakistanintheworld.com Report-FEB 21, 2012- France has welcome the handing over of a child by a Pakistani Court to her mother- In a statement made by the Spokesperson of the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, has said that“We welcome the positive outcome reached on this issue.In May 2005, a young French girl whose custody was entrusted to her mother by French judiciary was brought to Pakistan by her father.Her father, who was facing an International arrest warrant for subtraction of child under custody of her mother and retention outside of France, was traced last week.

Pakistan strongly desires long-term strategic engagement with France

Mr. Philippe Thiebaud, Ambassador of France to Pakistan, hosted a reception at the French Embassy in Islamabad on January 31, 2012 to award HEC and French Scholarships to 15 Pakistani laureates for the fellowship programme, both for “Split-PhD” and Post-Doctorate in different fields. They will leave for France early next month to conduct their scientific studies which will last up to 9 months.

Sarkozy desires to to further develop economic and political relationship with Pakistan.

KARACHI: French President Sarkozy desires to further develop economic and political relationship with Pakistan.

This was stated by Ambassador of France to Pakistan, Philippe Thiebaud. He was speaking at a reception hosted by the founder of Pakistan- France Business Alliance, Abdul Kader Jaffer, here on Saturday evening.
