Norway court has sentenced three men who reportedly had planned for attacks in Denmark.

The Oslo Municipal Court has found two men guilty of preparing a terrorist attack in Denmark on Jyllands-Posten and Westergaard, while a third man was found guilty of aiding and abetting the two others in the first Norwegian judgment involving terrorism plans.

denmark rescues more pakistanis from somali pirates

Islamabad – Nine Pakistani sailors together with five Iranian have been rescued by the Danish Navy Vessel ABSALON off the coast of Somalia. The Danish Navy Vessel, which is participating in NATO’s anti-piracy Operation Ocean Shield took control of the hijacked Iranian fishing vessel TAHARI after following the ship overnight and conducting helicopter surveillance.

Denmark takes on EU presidency

For the first half of this year it is the turn of Denmark to take responsibility of the rotating presidency of the European Union.
On Sunday, the rotating duty went from Poland to the Scandinavian country of 5.6 million people, whose political scene is currently controlled by one of the few left-leaning governments in Europe. Experts say the responsibility comes with heavy baggage, including the ongoing and all-important euro debt crisis.

Denmark trains Pakistani journalists in disaster reporting

The Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA), as part of its support to Pakistani civil society, completed its first training programme for Pakistani journalists, in which as many as 20 journalists were trained on how to collect data and report on disasters through advanced use of social media.
