PM Nawaz Sharif gets warm welcome in Beijing

BEIJING (Monitoring Desk+DNA) Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was accorded a warm welcome when he arrived at the Beijing Capital International airport here on Thursday.

At the Airport, two children attired in traditional dress presented bouquet to Prime Minister and first lady Begum Kulsoom Nawaz as they came out from the plane.

ISLAMABAD, May 25 {APP} Pakistan and China, during the ( two-day 22-23 May ) visit of Chinese Premier Li Kiqiang, decided to further deepen practical cooperation in all sectors and would strengthen coordination and cooperation on international and regional issues. The two sides agreed to work on it according to the guiding principles of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Good-Neighbourly Relations between the two countries and on the existing close cooperation.

Forthcoming visit of Chinese Prime Minister - Pakistan‚ China to sign several MoUs

ISLAMABAD, May 16 ( Diplomatic Reporter + DNA): Pakistan and China would sign several Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) for cooperation in various fields during the forthcoming visit of Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang.

Foreign Office spokesman Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhary said at the weekly news briefing in Islamabad that details of these MoUs are being worked out.
He said a warm welcome awaits to the Chinese Prime Minister when he arrives in Islamabad on the 22nd of this month.President Asif Ali Zardari will host a luncheon for the distinguished guest.

Pakistan, China hold counter terrorism talks

ISLAMABAD, ARPIL 15 (DNA) - Pakistan delegation, led by Aizaz A. Chaudhry, Additional Foreign Secretary (UN & EC), held 7th round of Pakistan-China bilateral consultations in Beijing today. Chinese delegation was led by Qui Guohong, Director General for External Security Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Masood Khalid also attended the meeting.

Pakistan formally hands over Gwadar port to China

ISLAMABAD, FEB 18 (Staff Reporter+DNA) -Pakistan on Monday formally awarded the contract for the operation of Gawadar port and the building of infrastructure around it to China at a signing ceremony held in the Presidency today that was witnessed by President Asif Ali Zardari, Chinese Ambassador in Pakistan Liu Jian, Foreign Minister Hinna Rabbani Khar, some federal ministers, members of parliament and senior government officials.

President says Sino-Pak trade has touched $ 12.4 billion mark

ISLAMABAD, FEB 16 (Staff Reporter+DNA) -President Asif Ali Zardari has said that Pakistan China cooperation is multidimensional which lays special emphasis on economic and trade, and expressed his satisfaction over increase in bilateral trade which has touched $ 12.4 billion mark.

This was stated by the President while addressing a ceremony held in connection with celebrations of Chinese New Year and spring festival organized by Chinese Embassy, in Islamabad, today.

President confers civil awards on four Chinese dignitaries

Lahore- 12 Feb 2013}-President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday, on the advice of the Prime Minister, approved conferment of civil awards upon the four Chinese dignitaries in recognition of their meritorious services in further cementing Pak-China relations and promoting cooperation between the two countries in their respective areas.

Awards were confered on Mr. Li Shenglin Hilal-e-Quaid-i-Azam, Ms. Fu Ying Hilal-e-Quaid-i-Azam, Mr. Sun Weidong Sitara-e-Pakistan, Ms. Hou Yanqi Tamgha-e-Pakistan.
