End of Portuguese course celebrated at Brazil embassy

ISLAMABAD, JUNE 22 (DNA) - The Ambassador of Brazil, Mr. Alfredo Leoni, held a ceremony to celebrate the end of the first year of Portuguese classes at the Embassy. The ceremony was held at the chancery and H.E. delivered certificates to the 13 students that completed the first year of the course, as well as an excellence award to the best student of the semester, Ms. Amna Hashmi.

Green groups worried as Rio+20 pact is diluted

Brazil envoy calls for more Bilateral business contacts

PESHAWAR – Ambassador of Brazil to Pakistan Alferdo Leoni has said that there is a need for having businessmen-to-businessmen contacts so as to present a positive aspect of the same for better ties between the two countries. Pakistan’s image will improve with exchange of visits of businessmen from both the countries, he said, adding that Pakistani businessmen can play a vital role to improve country’s image.

Brazil’s Ambassador to Pakistan Visits Islamabad Policy Research Institute

Islamabad; H.E. Mr. Alfredo Leoni, Brazil’s Ambassador to Pakistan, visited Islamabad Policy Research Institute on Monday morning. He said that Brazil was the first Latin American country to recognize Pakistan in the year 1948 and also the first from the southern continent to open its embassy in Pakistan in the year 1952.  Over the past thirty years, Brazil has become an full fledged democracy with  an electronic voting system for all the posts right from mayor to the president.
