Islamabad: October 16, 2012--President Asif Ali Zardari Tuesday emphasized the need for ECO member countries for working together in the three important areas of trade, transport and energy and urged for expeditious implementation of past agreements for trade liberalization besides cutting down tariff and non-tariff barriers, says a press release received here today from Baku.

Foreign Minister in Baku to attend ECO moot- Hina calls for making ECO more relevant

Baku declaration calls for inter-cultural dialogue

BAKU, AZERBAIJAN, OCT 05 (Ansar Mahmood Bhatti) – The Baku International Humanitarian Forum adopted a unanimous declaration after two days’ deliberation calling upon the world to pay attention to humanitarian problems.The declaration which was adopted on Friday further emphasized the need to bring justice to the process of globalization adding sustainable economic development requires new quality of human capital and is impossible without taking account of the human factor in its entirety.

After Pakistan-----Now It Is Azerbaijan- Putin cancels visit at the eleventh hour

Islamabad; Oct 06- Tazeen Akhtar- Russian President Putin cancelled visit to Azerbaijan as well. Previously he cancelled a scheduled visit to Pakistan earlier this month. It was said that he has to attend Baku International Forum on 4th-5th Oct but Mr Putin cancelled the same as well.

Baku was all prepared to welcome Mr Putin just like Pakistan but Azar Government had to bear the same shock as Pakistan bore last week when Azar authorities were informed that "The Chief Guest" is not coming and one of his minister will deliver his message.

World should help stop genocide of Azerbaijan people: President Ilham Aliyev

The day of genocide of Azerbaijanis

ISLAMABAD: Since 1998, March 31 has been commemorated in the Republic of Azerbaijan on a state level as the Day of Genocide of the Azerbaijanis. This is a manifestation of the national memory to the tragic events in the history of Azerbaijan during the last century. The massacres, repressions, mass deportation from their homelands are included to the black pages of history of Azerbaijan in the 20th century.

The seminar was organized in connection to draw attention of the world community about the two long standing and unresolved simmering conflicts in Caucuses and South Asia- Nagorno-Karabakh and Kashmir. While addressing the audience Deputy Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan H.E. Mr. Anar A Anar, highlighted the conflict of Nagorno-Karabakh.
