Australia allows import of Pakistani mangoes

Karachi (Monitoring Desk)Australia has finally allowed import of mangoes from Pakistan after ensuing that the fruit will meet all quality standards set by its quarantine and agriculture department, an exporter said on Thursday.

“Australia has approved importing mangoes from Pakistan during Eid holidays (August 8-10),” Abdul Qadeer Durrani, chief executive officer of Durrani Associates, said.

Australia develops forensic project

ISLAMABAD, OCT 19 (DNA): Australia has introduced a new policy initiative to enhance its law enforcement engagement with Pakistan.A statement issued by Australian High Commission in Islamabad on Friday said that under the policy initiative‚ Pakistan Forensic Capacity Building Project was developed.

The Project has successfully delivered nine forensic training courses in Canberra to eighty-eight participants from Pakistan this month.

SHC stays culling of Australian sheep

KARACHI:24 sep- The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday issued a stay order until the next hearing in response to a petition filed against the culling of Australian sheep allegedly sick with anthrax.The SHC adjourned the hearing until Sept 27. There have been disputes within the medical committee, formed under the directives of the SHC, over the medical condition of the nearly 20,000 Australian sheep, which some say suffer from highly dangerous anthrax.
