UK AND PAKISTAN TEAM COMPLETE JOINT EXPEDITION

Islamabad-A UK-Pakistan team has successfully completed a joint expedition in the Karakoram Mountains. The eight-person UK team was formed from 32 Royal Engineer Regiment based in Catterick Garrison. The Pakistan team was a combination of Engineers and High Altitude School instructors.

POLAND-PAKISTAN MILITARY COMMANDERS DISCUSS DEFENCE COLLABORATION

  Islamabad (Staff Reporter)Brig General Wojciech Grabowski, Commander Polish Land Forces visited Naval Headquarters Islamabad today and called on Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah.

During the meeting, professional matters of mutual interest and various avenues of defence collaboration between Pakistan and Poland came under discussion. The Naval Chief highlighted the role and contribution of Pakistan Navy in maintaining peace and stability in the regional maritime domain.

American Embassy Sponsors Tech Camp for Persons with Disabilities

Islamabad, August 10, 2017:  American Ambassador David Hale visited a Tech Camp today through which individuals with disabilities learned how to use new technologies in their daily lives.  The American Embassy collaborated with the Special Talent Exchange Program (STEP) to develop this two-day camp, which included sessions on the effective use of social media for advocacy and income generation, video filming and editing tools, and the use of mobile phone apps designed for persons with disabilities, among other topics.

DR. RUTH PFAU - MOTHER TERESA OF PAKISTAN PASSED AWAY

Islamabad (Special Report) Dr. Ruth Pfau, the ‘Mother Teresa’ of Pakistan has passed away at age of 87 today, media reported.
 
She was admitted in a private hospital yesterday after her health deteriorated.She had been leading the fight against leprosy in Pakistan since 1960.  Her funeral will be offered at St. Patrick’s Church on August 19.

Islamabad(Staff Reporter) Islamabad High Court has been moved by Tariq Asad Advocat to ban Miss Veet Pakistan on TV Channels as it is (as he claims )sexually explicit for opposite gender. Tariq Asad have filed a CM/application in his earlier petition pending adjudication. The prayer of the main petition is at para No. 1. From para No. 3 onward the apprehensions of broadcasting Miss Veet Pakistan are elaborated.

United States and Aurat Foundation Celebrate Completion of Gender Equity Program and its Achievements

Islamabad, August 3, 2017 – The United States and the Aurat Foundation today celebrated seven years of achievements in enhancing gender equity in Pakistan at the closing ceremony of the Gender Equity Program (GEP).

GEP, implemented by the United States Government through the United States Agency for International Development, was the largest stand-alone gender initiative since the founding of Pakistan 70 years ago.
