NORWEGIAN SOLAR COMPANIES KEEN TO INVEST IN PAKISTAN

Islamabad -Ambassador of Norway to Pakistan H.E. Mr. Tore Nedreb called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif along with a group of investors from the Norwegian energy sector. Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif expressed his condolences to the Norwegian Ambassador on the death of late Ambassador of Norway to Pakistan Mr. Leif Larson who died in a helicopter crash in Naltar Valley this year. The Prime Minister lauded the services of the late Mr. Leif Larson in consolidating Pak-Norway bilateral relations.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that Norway is a great friend of Pakistan and both the countries enjoy fruitful relations.

The Ambassador of Norway apprised the Prime Minister of the ongoing bilateral cooperation between the two countries as well as the proposed future cooperation, particularly in the energy sector. The Ambassador said that Norwegian solar energy companies are very keen to invest in Pakistan besides diversifying investment in other energy fields which is in the interest of both the countries.
