Norway keen to promote cultural ties with Pakistan: envoy

ISLAMABAD, SEPT 21 (DNA) –Ms. Cecilie Landsverk Ambassador of Norway to Pakistan has said her country was keen to promote cultural ties with Pakistan. She said cultivating closer cultural ties with AJK was also a priority.
She made these remarks on the occasion of a cultural-musical show arranged at her residence. Musicians from Azad Kashmir took part in the show while the sports and culture minister of AJK was the chief guest on the occasion.

The Norwegian ambassador further said huge Diaspora was living in Norway which had played an instrumental role in bringing peoples of both countries even closer. She said people to people links in fact were the real backbone of integrated relations between Norway and Pakistan.
While giving a brief account Norway-Pakistan relations the ambassador said, relations between the two countries had grown tremendously over the years and encouraging aspect is this that these relations are constantly on the move.

She said, her country was trying its best to provide maximum possible facilities to Pakistani living there. She was happy that Pakistanis had contributed greatly to the economic growth of Norway.
