Islamabad(Staff Reporter) National Day of Czech Republic and 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations with Pakistan was celebrated on 27th October with full enthusiasm and warmth of friendly feelings between the two countries. Charge D Affairs Mr Lucas Musil hosted a magnificent reception on this auspicious occasion at Serena Hotel's Shamadan that was packed with notables from all walks of life especially Government, Business Community, Diplomatic Enclave and Media.

Federal Minister Mr. Riaz Hussain Peerzadah was chief guest who represented the Government of Pakistan. Dean of Diplomatic Core Ambassador of Argentine, H.E Rodolfo Martin Saravia, Dean of European Envoys, Ambassador of Romania, H.E Emilian ION, Ambassador of E.U H.E Jean-Francois Cautain, Ambassador of France H.E Martine Dorance, Ambassador of Ukaraine H.E Volodymyr Lakomov, Ambassador of Spain, H.E Carlos Cezar Morales, Ambassador of Cuba H.E Jesus Zenin, Ambassador of Russia H.E Alexey Y. Dedov, Ambassador of Japan H.E Hiroshi Inumata, Ambassador of Uzbekistan Mr. Furqat Sadik, Ambassador of Greece Dimitrios Zoitos, Ambassador of Hungary Istvan Szabo, Ambassador of Poland Piotr Opalinski, Ambassador of Sweden Tomas Rosander, Acting H.C Sri Lanka Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, Charge d Affiars of Portugal Joao Paulo, Honorary Consul of Finland M. Asad Ansari and last but not the least Mr. Irshad Ullah Khan graced the ceremony with their presence.

Mr. Riaz Hussain Peerzadah said on this occasion that Pakistan attaches great importance to relations with Czech Republic. Both countries have same stance on most of regional and international matters. We enjoy very cordial relations with Czech Republic and look forward to further enhancing them in all spheres of life. He congratulated Mr. Lucas Musil, Government and people of his country on their national day and wished them best in the future.

Mr. Lucas Musil highlighted the present state of relations between the two countries and expressed hope to increase the level of cooperation more and more. He was optimistic about possibilities of working together in different sectors for the betterment of both the nations. 

 Czech Republic is known for its high quality engineering products. Information technology, Telecommunications and Soft Ware sector are also booming and both countries can work in these sectors constructively.

The highest delegate interaction between the two was the visit of Deputy Minister of Defence Mr. Tomas Kuchta accompanied by the group of companies on 6-9 October 2015. Mr. Kuchta called on COAS General Raheel, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Air Chief, Federal Minister Defence Production, Chairman PAC Kamra, Chairman Pakistan Ordnance Factories Wah. This visit will add to defence cooperation. 

Czech Republic extended its full support in construction of city of Bata Pur where Bata Shoe Company prepares the high quality shoes that are very popular in Pakistan.
