Korean OAK Commercial Agricultural Farming Signs MoU with PARC

  Islamabad-July 25-The Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) and the Korean OAK Commercial Agricultural Farming (OAKS CAF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) here for promotion of agriculture cooperation between the two organizations.

The agreement was signed at PARC headquarters by the representatives of both the organizations. 

The MoU envisages development of a pilot programme for Holistic Land and Livestock Management (HLLM), which builds upon experiences of PARC and Sustainable Resource Management Solutions Limited (SRMS).

Both the organizations would jointly apply for support grants and secure grants to fund the Pilot programme(s) besides training and developing the skills and capacity to support the initial Pilot(s) and to sustain an ongoing programme of HLLM in Pakistan on the successful completion of Pilot(s).

According to the MoU an ongoing community/SRMS/PARC programme would be set up to monitors change in social, economic and environmental indicators from the baseline.

Both the sides agree to take possible measures to allow this information to be directly uploaded onto a central data-base.
