Islamabad(Tazeen Akhtar) Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa will visit Poland next month to further discuss the enhancement in defence cooperation. Reliable sources have revealed that the visit is confirm but the dates will be announced later. This high level visit will pave the way towards a long term cooperation and  increase in already cordial and close relations between the two countries. Moreover, General Bajwa's meetings and discussions with Polish authorities will be a milestone in achieving the goal of sustainable partnership in defence and defence production for at least next two decades.

Important thing to note here is India is keeping an eye over the flourishing ties between Pakistan and Poland. India also attaches great significance to its relations with Poland. Now when high level military engagements are being seen, India, in its frustration has conveyed its reservations to Poland but the other side has responded accordingly that every country has its own importance.
Here it is worth mentioning that in August 2017 Commander Polish Land Forces Brigadier General Wojclech Granowshi visited Pakistan and had detailed discussion with General Bajwa on different aspects of bilateral cooperation. They discussed matters of mutual interest including defence, training and bilateral security cooperation. The visiting Polish commander was briefed on operational and training activities of the Pakistan Army.Brigadier General Wojclech Granowshi acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in the fight against terrorism.
Historically, Poland military have very deep and time tested bonds with Pakistan. Polish Airforce Pilots helped Pakistan  to set up Air Force after our independence. Polish officers were here during WW2 and in the meanwhile Pakistan came into existance. Some Polish officers spent life here and were laid to rest in peace in Rawalpindi.
Ambassador of Poland, Mr. Piotr A. Opalinski has played a pivotal role in bringing the bilateral relations level to such a height that is the peak of any diplomats carrier.
